Roller & Venetian Blinds at 124B Bukit Merah View

The right window blinds help a home feel comfortable while keeping its interior looking neat and coordinated. For our project at 124B Bukit Merah View, Singapore, VG Curtain & Window Blinds supplied roller blinds and Venetian blinds, bringing two distinct window treatment styles into the same home.

The completed installation pairs the simple appearance of roller blinds with the horizontal lines of Venetian blinds. It offers inspiration for homeowners who want a consistent interior without choosing the same type of blind for every window.

Two Blind Styles, One Coordinated Home

Roller blinds create a clean, uncluttered look with a continuous panel of fabric. In this project, the light-toned blinds sit neatly within the window areas and complement the neutral surroundings. When selecting roller blinds for your own home, consider how much daylight you want to retain and the level of privacy needed; these depend on the fabric selected.

Venetian blinds add a more structured finish through their horizontal slats. The project photographs show light-coloured slats with contrasting vertical tapes, giving the window a defined decorative detail. Adjustable slats also allow you to vary the direction of incoming light and the degree of screening throughout the day.

Choosing Blinds Around Your Daily Routine

If you are planning a similar combination, start with the needs of each window:

• Daylight and privacy: Consider when sunlight enters the room and whether the window faces neighbouring homes or shared walkways.
• Window access: Allow for handles, opening panels and enough clearance to use the window comfortably.
• Interior details: Coordinate fabric, slat and tape colours with your walls, cabinetry and furnishings.
